Consider this Car’s Eco-Friendly Credentials

The Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid is one of the first plug-in hybrids produced by the German brand. It features a more powerful electric motor and a larger lithium-ion battery. Total output was increased to 416 horsepower. In EV-only mode, the Cayenne E-Hybrid can travel 14 miles on a single charge, using no gas for those whose daily commutes are of that range.

James Drake, general manager of Porche St. Louis at 2970 South Hanley Road, says the “green” Cayenne E-Hybrid still possesses the same high level of performance expected of a vehicle from Porsche.

“It’s one of the best handling crossovers available today,” he says.

He says ecological responsibility is nothing new for Porsche.

“We’ve demonstrated that even high-performance sports cars can achieve comparatively moderate exhaust emission values,” James says. “That’s ensured by our approach to environmental management. All technological developments at Porsche are carried out with environmental protection in mind.”

James also says that while the Cayenne is a quiet, peaceful way to drive, it still provides a sporty look that fits fun lifestyles.

“It’s still really fast!” he says.
