No matter where you roam, there’s no place like home. This saying holds true for one naughty dog in our neighborhood. This particular puppy has a collar and belongs to our neighbor; any chance she gets she escapes and runs the streets. Whenever we see her out and about we holler, “Go HOME!”…and she does! Though the dog gets a wild hair to roam daily, she knows where her home is and can quickly find her way back there. To her, home is where she is fed, has shelter and is given love and attention. I am sure that is why she returns home day after day. We have nicknamed the dog “Toto” for this reason.
As humans, our definition of home isn’t really that far removed from that of our neighborhood rogue dog if you think about it; after our long days journeys we long to return to our homes to feel that sense of safety, belonging and caring from each other–and of course to eat dinner.
Whether you are thinking about updating, redecorating, downsizing or moving to your dream home, in Chesterfield, we’ve got you covered with expert ideas and advice to make your home the haven it should be.
In our “Home” issue we explore some unique ways you can make your home and environment at home that very special place…like no other.
So, we can take a tip from “Toto,” no matter where we roam, there’s no place like home.
